— TOOLS USED
Ronmor is an established private real estate company based in Calgary that has been operating for more than 30 years. The company owns and manages an extensive portfolio of shopping centres, office buildings, industrial properties, and one of the largest private land holdings in the province.
I joined Ronmor as the information designer and juggled many different hats. I created property brochures, infographics, leasing reports and social media posts for properties and brands across Canada. I was also given the amazing opportunity to create a website, logo, video, mall directory, and wayfinding signage for the new Sage Hill Quarter shopping centre.
Sage Hill Quarter is a new shopping centre located in growing North West Calgary. With its wide open landscaped public spaces and sloping grade to the water feature, visitors will want to spend more time discovering the shops and services in this attractive centre.
SAGE HILL QUARTER DESIGN MATERIALS
I designed a minimalistic logo that was consistent with the brand colours (green, blue and yellow) and represented the Rocky Mountains and the sophistication of the new shopping centre. The logo could be used for signage, flag banners, social media and the website.
With the shopping centre being outdoors and multi-levelled, I designed a colour-coded directory to help the public navigate through the centre and guide them to their destination. A QR code could also be attached to the side of the directory, making it easy for users to scan and find specific stores or information.
I created a promotional video for people attending a Drive-In Movie held by different community associations to inform them of the current tenants in Sage Hill Quarter and what it's like living in Q Condos.
Finally, I designed and built a new website for Sage Hill Quarter in Duda that featured a store directory and map, gallery, retail leasing information, and directions to the centre. Clicking on a specific store allows the user to see where it is located on the map by the highlighted colour. It also gives information about their store, hours of operation and address, and links to their website and phone number.
BROCHURES & REPORTS – THE GOAL
I created over 25 property brochures and built visual designs to effectively communicate technical and business purposes. Using the Human-Centered Design process, I made unstructured data into clear, useful information; allowing users to read and understand the message easier, faster and effectively in an enticing manner. I picked four colours to differentiate between retail, office, industrial and land leasing opportunities. Broker and clients could easily scan the pages, which contained the property overview, highlights, location, nearby tenants, floor plan, site map, interior/exterior photos and demographics.
I also designed a conceptual information package for Ronmor Block, which is situated on Calgary’s famous 4th Street shopping district in the centre of many well know brands, including Lululemon.
Aritizia was interested in leasing along 4th Street, so I created a proposal design that showcased high-end renderings from local architects and discussed how this hip young shopping district would be well suited for them.
